let's talk about the financial stuff. The cost of Juneau Men’s Project is $2950
(not including transportation costs to and from project). That $2950 covers
housing, a number of your meals, and costs for project activities and
materials.
Support raising sounds scary, we know. But year after year we see
God bring in the money for the students who trust Him to provide. And remember:
We’ll guide you through the same process that literally thousands of students
before you have done to raise the support. Should you be accepted to the
project, you'll receive information direct from us on how to raise financial
support. In other words, you're not alone.
Keep in mind that you'll be raising support for a
once-in-a-lifetime mission trip, not a vacation. More people than you think
will be interested in helping you go. You’ll be able to invite your family,
friends and fellow church members to invest in your summer with their prayer
and finances. Every year, God provides the financial support of students in
amazing ways.
We encourage you to raise support to cover expenses beyond the
basic cost of the project. Why? For starters, the funds you raise can cover
your travel expenses (like gas or a plane ticket and food during travel) and
the materials that help you raise your support (envelopes and stamps, for
instance). Second, by raising more financial support than you personally need,
you can help fellow project members who may not have their project completely
paid for.
Just remember: Having to raise support is no reason not to come on
summer project. Giving up your summer to go on a Campus Crusade summer project
is all about trusting God -- and raising support is part of the fun.
